Leg 2 will take riders back to the main Ride Base. All other legs will leave from and return to the main Ride base at Mt Pleasant.
COURSE:

Leg 1:
40km flat to undulating dirt roads and forest tracks from main Ride Base at Mt Pleasant to Away Checkpoint at Mt Crawford Dressage Grounds

Leg 2: 40km hilly Leg through Barossa Ranges and Mt Crawford Forest. Good underfoot. Dressage Grounds back to main Ride Base at Mt Pleasant.

Leg 3: 30km undulating with one good climb up Mt Crawford and 2 river crossings. Begins and ends at Mt Pleasant.

Leg 4: 30km flat to gently undulating, easy leg.

Leg 5: 20km flat to gently undulating, easy leg. Very good underfoot.

Make sure you do plenty of hill work in the months leading up to the Quilty. The course is a good workout but quite achievable with a fit horse. Quite a few hills but no mountains. Less than 20km of roads in the whole course and very good underfoot in the forest and ranges. A very scenic and enjoyable course
